Flood hazard maps show areas of Potentially Severe Flood Risk and depict flood zones. They concern us all and you can see if your home, your field or some point of interest is in an area with a higher risk of flooding.<\/h5>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]\"\"[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Flood Maps application offers ready-made digital flood risk maps for citizens. Unlike ERMIS-F\u2019s Geoportal, which is aimed mainly at professionals or requires some experience in GIS systems, the purpose here is the ease of use by everyone. The goal is for ordinary citizens to be informed about the dangers of flooding in their area and to take them into account in their decision-making process.\u00a0Decisions may include the use of plots of land or other real estate, flood insurance, reduced exposure to floods, for example by placing non-valuables in their basements if they are in a high-risk area, or to take protective measures at home (raising fencing, waterproof doors etc.).<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It offers easy access to ready-made flood risk maps;<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It provides free data and allows printing;<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Flood Maps show areas with the highest risk of flooding so they can lead to more effective prevention. At the same time, and in combination with ERMIS-F\u2019s Knowledge Base application, they offer important information about floods, flood control works and legislation.<\/p>\n
